History
Gülçiçek was found as a common dream of a fragrance lover family. In 1951, İstanbul was promising a new world for people in pursuit of pleasant scent. İstanbul, with its original culture, traditions and glamour, emit odor and flavor to Gülçiçek and vice versa.
In 1961, Gülçiçek was executing essence wholesale in Asri Han. It was specialized in cologne thesed days. First products were Gizli Çiçek, Altın Damla, Kadın Teni, Hatıralar, Beş Çiçek, Fougere, İğde, Menekşe. Later, Etamine 4, the first tobacco cologne emerged.
One of the top rate wholesalers well-known with its essence, Gülçiçek became broad dealer of an international company. In addition to this, started to sell jasmine scent and rose oil in 2 grams tubes.
In 1967, Gülçiçek moved to its new store in Sakaçeşme and started to work with Messina Citron from Italy and became leading company in its sector.
In 1972, Gülçiçek started to production, “its original love”. In addition to its production activities in Bomonti, it continued wholesale trading.
Gülçiçek was incorporated in 1981. In these years, it made many important attempts with Turkish industrialists.
1984 was an unforgettable year for the Gülçiçek family. In 12 April 1984, they officially opened the company in Ayazağa. Factory, which was bought to use as a store at first, is modernized, and it became new center of Gülçiçek.
In 2011, by applying a weighting system with automatic robots, Gülçiçek became boutique essence producer tracing pleasant scents and adding them to our lives, in international standards.
During this long marathon, it reached many successes that affected it in a way to connect its love even more passionately.
- Gülçiçek is one of the first company to use computer with IBM brand.
- It started wide trading and exchange petroleum system with Iran.
- It created dealership systems abroad.
- It established R&D laboratories; that was the first company using GC/MS.
- It is the first company to produce its raw material in Turkey with its synthesis laboratory.
- It awarded “incentive to export” and “European Union Quality” awards in 2010.
However, the biggest award the company got is the indescribable smile on the peoples faces occurred when they catch a pleasant scent.
